Top Ten Tuesday #42

Top Ten Tuesday er et ugentligt indlæg fra The Broke and the Bookish, hvor der hver uge kommer en ny overskift over et bogligt emne, som der skal laves en top ti over. Ugens emne er Top Ten quotes I love from books I've read in the past year or so.

"I was the Duff. And that was a good thing. Because anyone who didn't feel like the Duff must not have friends. Every girl feels unattractive sometimes. Why had it taken me so long to figure that out? Why had I been stressing over that dumb word for so long, when it was so simple? I should be proud to be the Duff. Proud to have great friends who, in their minds, were my Duffs."
The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend af Kody Keplinger.

#2
"Throughout it all, you are still, always, you: beautiful and bruised, known and unknowable."
This Song Will Save Your Life af Leila Sales.

#3
"Stuff your eyes with wonder, he said, live as if you'd drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It's more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories."
Fahrenheit 451 af Ray Bradbury.

#4
"What a treacherous thing to believe that a person is more than a person."
Paper Towns af John Green.

#5
"The only limits for tomorrow are the doubts we have today."
The Power of Six af Pittacus Lore.

#6
"I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will."
Jane Eyre af Charlotte Brontë.

#7
"You don't know what goes on in anyone's life but your own. And when you mess with one part of a person's life, you're not messing with just that part.
Unfortunately, you can't be that prescise and selective. When you mess with one part of a person's like, you're messing with their entire life. Everything ... affects everything."
Thirteen Reasons Why af Jay Asher.

“I’m not sure. But there’s something about the darkness, the stillness of this hour, I think, that creates a language of its own. There’s a strange kind of freedom in the dark; a terrifying vulnerability we allow ourselves at exactly the wrong moment, tricked by the darkness into thinking it will keep our secrets. We forget that the blackness is not a blanket; we forget that the sun will soon rise. But in the moment, at least, we feel brave enough to say things we’d never say in the light.”
Ignite Me af Tahereh Mafi.

#9
"All we have to decide is what to di wth the time that is given to us."
The Fellowship of the Ring af J. R. R. Tolkien.

#10
"Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them."
Twelfth Night af William Shakespeare.

Hvilket citat, fra en bog I har læst i år, har gjort et stort indtryk på jer? Eller er I modsat mig ikke specielt interesserede i citater?

  2. Mine too, it was a reread, so I figured it counted as a book I read this year XD But I really love it and I'm glad other people do too :) Thank you, I found it really hard to limit myself to ten only, even if I on'y chose from books I read this year. And I tried to chose differnet books and authors, which limited my choices a bit more. Still difficult, haha.

*runs over to look at your choices*
